Laguna 69

Although still unknown for many travelers coming to Peru, Huaraz, a town in the heart of the Andes Mountains, is becoming the country’s trekking capital. The town stands at the feet of one of the world’s most stunning mountain ranges: the Cordillera Blanca. Arguably one the most picturesque and beautiful locations in the Andean region is Laguna 69, a breathtaking turquoise lake that is hugged by snowy mountain peaks, jagged rocks and trickling waterfalls 4,600 meters above sea level (15,091ft). On the way to Laguna 69, you will pass by Laguna Llanganuco, a tranquil lake full of minerals which is the reason behind its signature blue water.
